It’s hard to remain unmoved by Elton’s music and flashbacks to the past. Was waiting for Christmas to hit me but that really didn’t at all. Nor did John Lewis’ branding until a bit of copy shoehorned into the end.
With department stores coping with a fundamental shift in purchasing habits, perhaps the retail element was overlooked. Not sure quite how many people will venture to John Lewis to buy a piano.
Conceptually flawed in my view. At least the money is going to Charity apparently and I’m sure Elton will have a great farewell tour.
Teasing John on their Oxford Street store was the best bit for me. Physical creativity.
